99 Seconds of Change
The process of this project:
1) We individually chose a modern day issue in the world that interested us and we wanted to make a change in. The topic I decided to study was the issues in the middle east. More specifically what the U.S can do to help.
2) Once we knew what topic we wanted to study we began studying it and creating a fact sheet thus being able to form an opinion on our topic so that we could write a business letter to argue our opinion to create the change we wanted to see.
3) Once we were informed on our topic and had an opinion formed we found a person of authority that could actually make the change we wanted to see. I wrote to Senator Dianne Feinstein and I unfortunately got no response.
4) Once we were done with our business letter we had to team up with one of our peers to make videos supporting one of our arguments. This meant that we had to choose one of our topics so I decided to use my partners topic for our video which was, employment for mentally disabled people.
5) The first thing we did was create a 2 column script. One side being the images (what you see on the screen) and the other side being the voice (what the viewer hears).
6) Then what we did was record our voice using audacity.
7) Then we began to find and edit images. We would find images on Flickr and Google, then we would edit them in Photoshop to our liking and to match our voice perfectly.
8) Once we had all our images and our voice done we put them in Final Cut Pro and began to edit in there. Creating animations, popping up images, editing voice more, and writing text.
9) Once our video was approved by Chris we posted our video and created a title, description, tags and thumbnail.

Reflection:
1) The most valuable thing I learned from this project would probably be Photoshop. I never knew how to use it but I always wanted to learn how to use it but I always thought I never could cause it looked too complicated. In this project I not only learned how to use Photoshop but I learned that I actually really enjoy using Photoshop and I have the confidence that if I ever needed to use it in the future for personal projects (which I know I will) I could use it.
2) What I did to help me be successful in this project was have good communication with my partner. We were always on the same page and flexible. We knew each others strengths in different programs and used them to help each other and accumulate our work to create our project. We worked really well together which definitely helped the process.
3) Advice I would give to students who will do this project in the future is keep moving! Don't spend too much time on one thing. Do your voice and don't keep working on it once you're done, move on. This project has a lot of components so its easy to focus on one of them and then you end up rushing through the other components making them sloppy. Manage your time and spread it out so you have time to finish everything.
4) My teacher did a good job of providing us with the help we needed. When we didn't understand how to do something, which happened very often, we always knew we have the resources and support of Chris to learn how to do it.
5) I can't think of anything to make this project better. It was pretty fun and I felt pretty confident throughout it that I could successfully create an informative video.
